It’s a pleasure, to be sure, to tell you a smidgeon about the fabulous soft-coated Wheaten Terrier, an extremely intelligent breed originally developed in Ireland as an all-purpose farm dog.
Today, the fabulous, ultra friendly Wheaten Terrier is considered by certified dog breeders as one of the most obedient and intelligent house dogs in the U.S. and Europe. Their playful, steady nature make them a great dog breed for families, but the Wheaten Terrier is also a hypoallergenic dog breed.
We fell in love with the Wheaten Terrier breed over a decade ago, and officially became Wheaten Terrier breeders in 2003. Located in Jupiter, Florida, Maddox Country Kennel is convenient to both South Florida and Central Florida.
We — that is Gina and Douglas Maddox — pride ourselves on being small quality hobby breeders of Wheaten terrier puppies, and are one of the very few Wheaten Terrier breeding kennels in Florida. Our Wheaten Terrier puppies are healthy dogs and are bred for quality, friendliness and obedience. Each is registered AKC/APR and will be accompanied upon purchase with a health certificate, a health guarantee and a pedigree that includes five generations.
We reside in the city of Jupiter in an area called Jupiter Farms, a rural region within a natural preserve near the watershed that eventually turns into the scenic Loxahatchee River. It is in this tranquil setting that our little wheaten terrier puppies are raised. We have eight Wheatens of our own. Puppies play and are socialized with these tender, loving dogs until adoption.
