We’ve been breeding purebred Wheaten Terriers for more than 7 years, and have built a wonderful haven for these special dogs. The spacious kennel, just steps away from our Jupiter Farms home, has all the modern conveniences, from air-conditioning to areas for individual grooming and training. Because of the size of the kennel, we are able to board a select number of dogs.

The kennel structure houses multiple air-conditioned pens that each open out into a covered run area. Since wheaten terriers are so playful and full of energy, an adjacent larger exercise yard allows ample room for litters and the occasional boarding visitors to play and socialize with our eight family wheaten terriers. 

At the Maddox Country Kennel, we take great care with new litters. The breeding mothers are tested rigorously according to the standards issued by the Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier Association to protect against diseases that can sometime affect wheaten terriers. Only when everything checks out are our new wheaten mothers bred, and puppies available for adoption. This is an important reason why private Wheaten Terrier breeders are better than puppy mills and high-volume pet stores.

Each new wheaten litter is also whelped in our home, and caringly supervised by us throughout the day until the young wheaten terrier puppies are old enough to move (approx. 3 weeks) to the kennel.
